Featured Brewery – Goose Island

We are excited to announce Goose Island will be participating at Twilight Tasting this year!

Featured imageGoose Island is known for their bourbon-aged beer. First they use a bourbon barrels that has been brewing whiskey for an average of 8 years. Then they age their beer inside for 8-12 months. Each barrel is used only once, ensuring the best quality taste in every pint.

Goose Island is also known for their barrel-aging process using wine barrels. The variety of wine barrels they have used has produced some of their more unique brews: the Sofie, Juliet, Lolita, Madame Rose, Gillian and Halia. Featured image

Two of their year around beers are the Goose IPA and Honkers Ale. The IPA is a hop lover’s dream with a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle and long hop finish. The Honkers Ale was inspired by visiting English county pubs. It is a beer that you can trust and one you will look forward to time and time again.

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co

Sierra Nevada started out with a simply goal, to brew the beer they wanted to drink. It started as a small scale brewery based in Chico, California. The company name came from the owner’s favorite hiking grounds in the nearby mountains and decided to launch Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.

Featured imageYears later Sierra Nevada moved to a larger location in Chico and opened the doors to its new taproom. They hit a major milestone in 1993 after producing 100,000 barrels! But demand was still high and they had to relocate yet again. They added another brewing location to the mix.

Sierra Nevada held the first ever Beer Camp at their brewery. Restaurateurs and bar owners came for a two day, hands on beer experience with the experts. The results were an Imperial Pilsner called Sierra Super 7. Beer Camp is a regular event for Sierra Nevada.Featured image

Sierra Nevada has three new beers making it out on the market. The Hop Hunter, Nooner Pilsner, and 2015 Beer Camp Hoppy Lager.

This well-off brewing company will be attending Twilight Tasting with the other amazing brewery. Lets hope we get to try the new crafts that are being released!

Woodchuck Hard Cider

Featured imageWoodchucks core ciders consist of their: Amber, Granny Smith, 802 Dark & Dry, Pear, Raspberry, and Hopsation. Amber was the first cider crafted by Woodchuck in 1991 in Proctorsville, Vermont. The recipe remains the same today as that first hand filled bottle. The Amber has a traditional red apple cider taste.

The Granny Smith is made from green apples which make for a tart yet crisp taste, then finishing with dry and tangy.

Featured imageOn February 4th, Woodchuck announced on Twitter that they will be coming out with a Gumption Hard Featured imageCider. No date has been announced, so be on the look out!

A date we can announce is March 7th, and that is when Woodchuck will be at Twilight Tasting for all of our attendees to try! If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, go to http://www.twilighttasting.com

Coronado Brewing Co

Featured imageBrothers Ron and Rick Chapman started their dream job in 1996 when opening their very own craft brewery. Coronado Brewing Co was born and was built in the heart of, you guessed it, Coronado, California. The brewery has quickly expanded over the year and recently built a brand new 30 barrel brew house.Featured image

This company has a deep connection with their hometown. Their trademark image is the lovely red haired mermaid. Legend has it that in San Diego Bay mermaids were surrounding the Coronado Island, and sang songs to keep sea explores safe. Because of this story, Coronado Brewing has embraced the mermaid as their trademark image.

Year around Coronado produces their- Coronado Golden Pilsner, Orange Ave Wit, Islander IPA, Mermaid’s Featured imageRed American Amber Ale, Blue Bridge Coffee Stout, and Idiot IPA.

Coming out soon is their Crown Series, Skull Wrapper IPA. Starting February 13th, this craft will be available only at their tasting room and Imperial Beach locations. Make a trip to Coronado or cross your fingers that they will bring their Skull Wrapper to Twilight.

Stonefire Grill – YUM!

Sisters Mary and Maureen Harrigan envisioned this fast-casual dining concept from growing up with a family of 11. The table was always filled with large plates, which had simple yet loved prepared food with both taste and budget in mind. In 2000, Stonefire Grill was made and now has seven locations in Southern California. Their goal is to have “freshly prepared and simply Featured imagedelicious meals – for their dine in, takeout, and catering guests.”

Stonefire Grill will be cooking up a storm at Twilight Tasting. We are excited to have StoneFire Grill attend Twilight for the second time. This year they are bringing their BBQ Tri Tip… just looking at the picture makes your mouth water! Featured image

Featured Brewery – Hangar 24 Craft Brewery

“Hangar 24 craft brewery began with a true passion for good beer, the absolute love of flying and the pure enjoyment of being around great friends.”

Ben Cook, founder and master brewer of Hangar 24, used to gather with his buddies at hangar 24 after an afternoon of flying to share stories, play music, and drink some delicious brews that Ben had just finished making at home. With the grand opening in 2008, Ben chose the perfect location for Hangar 24, adjacent from the Redlands Airport. These great times and location are the foundation of what is, today, a more than great brewery!

10321507_10153053202117162_7884116969447844752_oNow, we know that the groundhog saw his shadow yesterday (which means six more weeks of winter, DARN!) but don’t worry because Hangar 24 has brought a little bit of spring to us early! The Hangar 24 California Spring Beer is here to refresh your palate from all of those darker, winter beers. “Pouring a hazy gold with a thick, white head, floral hop aromas spring from the glass to complement the taste of tangy wheat and a bitter, slightly sweet, bready finish.” Using a new recipe, this beer was fermented in two different batches, one using an American Ale yeast and the other using a Belgian Wit yeast. After the two separate batches were finished, they were blended together to create it’s complementary complex flavor.

You can now get this wonderful seasonal spring beer in 6 packs at Hangar’s tasting room! Also, Hangar 24 has about 8 tasty beers that are year round so make sure if you haven’t done so already, to head to the Hangar 24 tasting room or out to your local retail store to pick up a 6 pack of Hangar 24.

Make sure not to miss unlimited Hangar 24 tastings at Twilight Tasting on March 7th! You can purchase tickets HERE!
